This is an image from NASA of a star called Mira which is 350 light years from Earth. It's tail, which can only be seen in ultra violet light, is an astounding 13 light years long! This amazing snapshot of a stars history will hopefully help scientists unlock more secrets as to the evolution of our galaxy.

I ran across Cat Power (Charlyn "Chan" Marshall) when sifting through some live Flaming Lips videos on YouTube and who was featured singing along side Wayne Coyne but a certain Chan Marshall! I was intrigued by her distinct and sultry Southern voice and became hooked finding out as many songs by her as I could. This song "Cross Bones Style" is an earlier effort but still one of my big favourites of hers. Difficult to say why but she just has IT whatever IT is anyway! Enjoy!

Day Trip to London!

Hi ya folks! Well I had an extremely enjoyable day yesterday as I finally made it down to London! Was really good to see the old place as I hadn't been down since last December (shock horror!). Thankfully it was like slipping on an old pair of your favourite slippers! Had a trip round the clothes shops in Covent Garden and then had a look round a record shop or two on Berwick Street (what's left of them!). Then I toddled down to the Tate Modern and saw an interesting exhibition in the main turbine hall about different cities around the world and their explosions in population. After a nice stroll down the South Bank in the sunshine, I finished with a Mc Donald's in Trefalger Square (I really know how to live life on the edge!). Not bad for an on/off agoraphobic, even if I do say myself!
